Upon arrivng in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, we first checked into our hotel, Landmark Resort. After settling into our suite, we realized that some things were wrong. The room hadn't been vacuumed, there were no bed sheets on the pull-out bed, and there was mold in the heater and A/C. We requested to be moved into another room, and the manager gladly accommodated us and gave us breakfast, which was very good. After moving into the next room, we were much more satisfied. The hotel itself was nice, and the oceanfront rooms were amazing. However, while we were there, two elevators broke down, and the housekeepers were very rude and unprofessional.

Attraction

A couple days into the trip, we went to Barefoot Landing to go shopping. Barefoot Landing has a variety of shops to go to that could make you wind up there for hours. The atmosphere was beautiful. Along the rows of stores there were rocking chairs for people to sit in and enjoy the beautiful Myrtle Beach weather. It has a very well-kept appearance and is very clean. There is a bridge/long pier that connects the two sides of Barefoot Landing to each other.

The best part of the experience, minus the shopping, was the tigers. Every week or so, this foundation has tigers and monkeys come in to stay there. For about $50, I think, you can get your picture taken with them. The money benefits the research on the tigers and monkeys, etc. It is amazing. I LOVED IT!

Ripley's Believe It or Not museum is so much fun! I wouldn't recommend it for anyone younger than 7 or so, just because of the nature of some things, such as a cow with four normally placed legs and one on its back. It's not disgusting or anything; it's very interesting and educational. I learned a lot from visiting this museum and saw a lot of really neat things. It's in a very convenient location that is surrounded by a lot of shopping.
