Caribbean Cruise

A September 2004 trip to Western Caribbean by melika091900

Great family cruise with nice places to see, epecially if you never have been to New Orleans!! It's like two vacations in one.

Attraction | "Free snorkeling in Cozumel"

This was a great experience--you're in a group, and there are guides to take you in and help you if needed, since the water is a little rough there. Don't eat before you go, or you will be sick. A lot of people vomitted because of the motion of the ocean! The water is beautiful--the most gorgeous I've ever seen. We were on the 6th deck on our ship, and we looked down and could see the bottom of the ocean floor and the fish with 100-foot visibility from the shore.

Snorkeling
Various Locations Cozumel, Mexico

First, you get on the bus and go to the craft market--people are very pushy there, but at least there is a group of you. NEVER GO ALONE IN JAMAICA--it's a nice country, but there are pushy people. Then you go to the Rum Jungle, which is a bar/casino, and get complimentary Appleton rum before traveling around the mountains, enjoying the nice mansions and scenic tour. It is so worth it--we did this in Jamaica and then in Mexico and got in the water to kind of split up options instead of wasting time in the water twice. I heard Dunns River Falls are nice but not worth $100 per person. If not this, then do the tour that takes you to Negril--it's very beautiful, I've heard, and there are nice people.
