Who would have thought that a quick meeting in an out-of-the-way-place would end up being a trip to remember?

Hotel | "Bessborough"

The Bessborough is grand old hotel in downtown Saskatoon that is very well appointed, with a neat ambience and a great restaurant. The room we had was a bit small, but it had lots of character.

Restaurant

If you want to tour the world of beer, this is the place. There are over 100 different beers from around the world, with a great beer list describing the qualities of each.

I couldn't make it all the way around the world, though.

Plus, you can take out beer in Saskatoon. So we did, all the way back through the airports in our carryon! Never again!

Attraction | "Golfing the Willows"

The Clubhouse
The course was very well groomed and in great shape for the end of the season. Many rolling hills separated the links-style holes.

There was an excellent mix of minor elevation changes, doglegs, and an island green.

I'd definitely golf it again.

Story/Tip

The Legislature
We took a day and drove down to Regina. So, what to you do in Regina? Well, you could go to the casino, tour the legislature (great architecture, inside and out), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Museum, and the first lieutenant governor's home - all in one day! And all are worth seeing.
