Weekend Getaway in Las Vegas

An October 2004 trip to Las Vegas by jennykc1014

We went to Las Vegas to just get away from our troubles in Tucson and to spend some time together without interruption.

We stayed at the Cirus Circus Hotel right on the Strip. One of the best things to do is to, during the day, go to the amusement park located right inside the hotel. The Adventure Dome is a great place for family fun. It has roller coasters, games, and free shows. Also, visiting Madame Tussaud’s wax museum is a really fun thing to do. It is located right on the Strip, next to The Venetian hotel.

Quick Tips:

Book your trip in advance to get the best prices. However, even if you book late, Circus Circus has great prices on rooms.

Best Way To Get Around:

On the Strip, walking or taking a personal bike cart are the best ways to see everything. The personal bike carts are simply men and women on bikes with comfortable seating attached that ride around the Strip. The cost is low and the sightseeing is great.

The food here is wonderful. My husband and I make a point to eat there as often as we can. The atmosphere is very casual. They serve sushi and Japanese and Korean food. The prices are great and the wait time is nothing. You will leave this restaurant full and happy with your choices. I have to say that this is one of the best places in Tucson to eat.
