Anaheim is a fun city with Disneyland. I often visit as a small getaway from home that lets me enter this fantasy land. Downtown Disney has no entrance fees, and you can hang around and enjoy the restaurants and shops and people-watch.

The best thing to do in Anaheim is going to Disneyland. There are two parks, Disneyland and the recent California Adventureland, which is a truly unique park that gives tribute to the state of California and all that the Golden State has to offer, from its tourism to its vineyards to its agriculture to its famous Hollywood scenes. Downtown Disney lies in between both parks and connects the hotels to the parks. There are many restaurants, all with different themes, shops, activities, and atmospheres, that just take you away from reality and enjoy the moment.

Also in Anaheim is the Pond, which is home to the Anaheim Might Ducks of the National Hockey League. Concerts are also performed here. Across the way is the Anaheim Stadium, where the Los Angeles Angels, formerly known as the Anaheim Angels, of the Major Baseball League plays.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Around Disneyland you can get around by walking or even taking the Disneyland shuttle to all the nearby hotels and restaurants. The monorail takes you through the parks. It's all in a small area, so the best way to get around and enjoy the atmosphere is to walk.

This is a really simple place to stay. The best part is that it is across the street from the entrance of Disneyland, with restaurants located next door. Also, parking is included in the price, so that is a plus. It is not the most luxurious place to stay, but one of the most convenient.

The atmosphere is what draws people to the restaurant aside being located in Downtown Disney. The restaurant is a replica of being in the Amazon jungle, with thunderstorms, animal sounds, and movements from the artificial animals. There are also waterfalls, as well as large fish tanks, containing all types of sea creatures. It's an enjoyable, adventurous place to eat.

It's a fantasy land full of rides and restaurants, and it's an enjoyable day when it's not overly crowded. The best time to go would be in the fall. The weather is still good and the kids are in school. I would pick a Tuesday, which is one of the least crowded days, so it's quicker to get on all the best rides. It's like storybooks coming to life.
