Who needs Tahiti when you have Cancun? White powder beaches, turquoise waters that you swore were movie magic, lots of activities, and drinks only a hand wave away! This was our first trip to Cancun and our first adventure in all-inclusive vacationing. We loved both and can't wait to return.

I would say this unit was on the moderate side. The views were breathtaking, but the unit itself was nothing to brag about! The hallways were not air-conditioned, so you had to prepare youself if it was a sticky night. All in all, the only reason you would use the unit would be to change and leave or sleep. If you're choosing a spot because you want to stay inside, then you shouldn't be going to Cancun in the first place.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach is the best thing nearby. You are a short taxi ride from the center of town, but we found ourselves counting the moments till we returned to the Cancun Palace.

Best Things About the Resort:
Best thing about the Cancun Palace was the activity staff. Our husbands tend to bore quite easily, where my girlfriend and I like to lie by the beach or pool. The activity staff made the girls and the boys happy. We lounged while they played water volleyball. In fact, they set their watches so they wouldn't miss a match!

Resort Experience:
Paradise. I know it sounds corny, but we really couldn't believe we hadn't heard about this little slice of heaven before. We are in our mid 30s and always thought of Cancun as a college town. Yes... but no. We found that the center of Cancun was where most of the college kids went. We also went in the off-season and found tons of honeymooners and lovebirds.

The resort is seriously something out of a movie scene. You drive up and are greeted with champagne and a how-do-you-do attitude. We had a small problem with our booking, and the staff was quick to not only fix the problem but make sure we had no other issues for the remainder of our trip. The pool and beach were our main hang-outs. Like I said, our husbands set their watches to the water volleyball tournaments and allowed us to lie by the pool. The activity staff had something going on all the time. We aren't the typical activity group but found ourselves captivated by the games. My husband, normally a stand-on-the-side kind of guy, was quickly volunteering for dance contests, Mr. Cancun, and horse races. Floor shows and fantastic food just added to our fantastic experience. If you like cruise ships but hate cruising, this is the place to go. A cruise without the boat! Well done, Cancun Palace!

Best Things About the Resort:

Resort Experience:
Cancun palace is beatifully kept. The main attractions are the pool and beach. In the pool you can swim to three different areas, including the swim-up bar. The beach is perfect--white, sandy beaches. The occasional vendor and tons of water sports. We loved everything about the Cancun Palace and would return in a moments notice. I can't rave enough about the activity staff. They made the vacation a entertainment delight. The floor shows were fantastic and fun. Not Vegas, but darn close.

Cancun Palace

Unfortunately, we weren't able to dine at this restaurant. We weren't informed that gentlemen needed to bring slacks and a collared shirt. I think this would have been a great place to eat. The rest of the restaurants were average. I would say that was the only downfall to the Cancun Palace. There were only three areas for eating, one of which we couldn't access. More variety would be needed.
