We had such a great weekend in Lake Placid and plan to make it an annual event!

Enjoying a few
Staying at the Adirondack Inn was fantastic. I could not have picked a better hotel for our great weekend getaway! This hotel is located right on Main Street, so I was able to walk to all the restaurants and shops in town. In addition to its great location, the rooms are spacious, and amenities are quite nice. It really is a nice, cozy, home-like place to stay.

There were seven people in our "gathering" for the weekend, and we had three connecting rooms, and the fourth (where my husband and I stayed) was just across the hall. We used the middle room as our central room to gather while in our rooms. But we spent a lot of time on the wonderful wrap-around deck. Just one look at the pictures, and I am sure you will see we had a great time socializing on the deck!

Each room was very large, with two queen beds, a very large dresser, large closet, desk, and lots of extra chairs for us to get together. Some of the rooms even had a sofa. There also was a small refrigerator (perfect for our orange juice and champagne, soda, and odds and ends). At no point, even when all seven people were in one room, did we feel claustrophobic! All the rooms were clean, and the maids came in everyday to make sure the rooms remained cleaned.

I also want to mention that even though the bathroom itself was not oversized, there was plenty of room to handle all of the cosmetics and other sundries we all brought.

We also spent a fair amount of time in the Jacuzzi – great place to talk about the skiing! The Jacuzzi was large enough to hold all of us and some of the other guests as well! The large indoor swimming pool had crystal-clear water, and I spent at least an hour each day doing aqua jogging during the day. The pool was large enough that I could do my own thing without worrying about anyone splashing around me! There is also a sauna in the downstairs area.

There are several other nice amenities of this hotel. One is the exercise room. There is a multi-station universal weight machine (very nice, but most weights were too large for me), a rowing machine, and an exercise bike. Best for me were the benches, no other people in the room, and lots of free space (and mirrors) so I could do my exercise routine with the free weights (which I had brought).

This was a great hotel and one we will be returning to year after year.
