Rent a car and take a ride around the two sections of the island. The road goes from a double-lane paved road to a 1 1/2-lane unpaved road in the mountains. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Shop at the many stores in LaHaina, a quaint town right on the water. Stop for lunch at Longhi and try to get a window seat and people-watch.Quick Tips: Speak with other tourists about where the best bargains are. How does one describe "perfect"? At check-in, we were greeted with a friendly aloha and an orchid lei for me and a green-leaf lei for my husband (it's meaning was "strength") and a nice, cold glass of passion, guava, orange juice with an orchid in it. Everyone was smiling, and the rooms were all suites and were impeccable. The bedroom was spacious, with ample storage space.
