Our grandkids were at the perfect age for Disney World this year. They enjoyed everything they experienced and loved the rides. My husband and I were there to take photos of the grandkids and their parents. We rode a few things but mainly enjoyed watching everyone else having such a good time. We picked a perfect day for Disney--not too hot and not too cool. It was our best trip ever!
THE KENNEDY SPACE CENTER Photo, Orlando, Florida
This year, the grandkids were old enough for the Kennedy Space Center. It takes about an hour to get over to NASA, and it was a pleasant drive. We bought our tickets and rushed over to the departure area for the bus rides. The buses took us to several areas within NASA. Preparations were underway to launch a satellite, and we were able to see the area where it would be launched. We saw many things while we were there and even got a photograph with a live astronaut. It was a fantastic trip, and we all really enjoyed our day.

During one of the rainy days we had at Orlando, our daughter decided we should all drive over and see the Orlando Science Center. The visit got us out of our villa for awhile, there were interesting things to see, and we all enjoyed the visit. A lot of the exhibits are designed with the young kids in mind. There were exhibits on dinosaurs, the human body, computers, lasers, and lots of other things. We also attended two IMAX films in the theatre's wonderful IMAX theatre. We saw "Forces of Nature," which covered volcanos, earthquakes, and tornadoes, and "The Mystery of the Nile", which covered a trip down the Blue Nile, the source of the Nile River. Both films were very good. We highly recommend...Read More

As soon as the Orlando area spring training baseball tickets went on sale, our daughter went online and purchased tickets for the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Atlanta Braves game that would be played during our spring break time in Orlando. The game was in the Disney Wide World of Sports arena. We had very good tickets, and it was nice and cool during the game. When we first arrived, the shade hadn't covered our seats yet, and the sun was a little hot. Within an hour, we were in the shade and loving every minute of the game. We had to arrive early so that we could get a good parking spot. The final score was 1-0, with the Pittsburgh Pirates winning the game. Since we were all Pittsburgh fans, we left ...Read More
