Angel's Landing

Attraction | "Angel's landing hike"

You begin at the Virgin River and hike up to the top of the mountain, which has several switchbacks. It offers great views of the valley, ultimately ending at the top of Angel's Landing. It was given the name because you will be pretty close to heaven, or so it seemed. It offered great photo ops and was great exercise. The scenery was breathtaking and the rock formations amazing. Towards the end you have to climb on the side of a sheer cliff with about a 1,000-1,500-foot drop, although they do provide chains to hold onto but if you don't like heights just go as far as you can the views are still great. The heights only become a real factor during the last mile of the hike.

If it looks like rain, it might be time to start heading back, but overall, it was an...Read More
