Christmas in Courchevel

A December 2004 trip to Courchevel by CerroTorre

Christmas in the Alps--what a romantic idea. My wife and I spent Christmas 2004 skiing in the Alps at Courchevel in France.

The Three Valleys in France is an incredible place to ski. The amount of terrain is absolutely mind-numbing. Americans who travel to Europe to ski will not believe the amount of terrain that can be skied with one lift ticket! The Three Valleys has 600km of groomed piste that you can ski and an amazing amount of ungroomed runs too. One of the highlights of skiing for a week in the 3 Valleys is skiing between all three valleys in the same day.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

You can get around Courchevel quite easily without having a car. Public transportation is available between the different villages until 10pm, and after that there are taxis that can take you around. You can also take the ski lifts between some of the different villages at Courchevel.
