Just a stones throw from the National Museum and Christiansborg, it is a good option if you want an affordable hotel that is well maintained.

My room was on the small side and the bathroom was miniscule, but my view of the Radhus Pladsen and of Tivoli Gardens made up for everything. I could literally see and hear the screams of amusement park riders at Tivoli from my room.

Breakfast is included in the price and it is served in a pleasant dining area.

All in all, I recommend the hotel and its great location.

The hotel is an excellent value for its price and is beautifully maintained. The rooms were large with excellent bedding and a very nice double window that opened up onto the street. Also the furnishings were very attractive both inside the rooms and throughout the hotel. The hotel staff also, were very accommodating with my early arrival and promptly found an available room for me.

The lobby has a very nice bar that was very active most times of the day and the included breakfast was superb!

The Weber is a great choice!

Yes, the prices were perhaps more expensive than had we dined out of the park....but life is all about experiences, and this was one. The Berlin is found directly inside the park to the left of the dancing fountains.

The meal was quite nice, with a healthy choice of options and a very attentive wait staff. The highlight of my meal was a cloudberry porrage custard that was simply worth every penny paid for the whole meal.

I suggest having reservations for just before dusk (ask for a table next to the windows) to enjoy the light and the dancing waters. Also, you should expect a crowded room.

It is a free haven for "independent minded" individuals...to live live as they see fit. On my visit, it looked like a country market with a 1960's twist.

The area is spread over 20 acres and drugs can be found most everywhere, but in a non-threatening environment. Stores, markets, kiosks abound as do shacks, shanties and huts.

The funniest thing I saw was at the Christiania restaurant which had a large banner that said "Just say no to HARD drugs".

You are NOT allowed to take pictures anywhere inside the compound...so don't try!

You can reach Christiania on the public bus #8 from the Radhus Pladsen. I think it is a worthwhile place to go just for the spectacle of it all!

This was the question mark of my trip to Copenhagen. Could my two male friends and I convince our two female friends to visit the Erotica Museum???

On a close 3 to 2 vote, we won...imagine that! What shocked us all was that the museum really is a museum. The subject matter was handled with extreme care and relative caution. Don't misunderstand me.....nudity and extreme sexual situations abound, but it was all dealt with as a museum should.

It starts with the Ancient Egyptians and Romans, proceeds to the middle ages and the Renaissance and then progresses to more modern times. Photos, portraits, dioramas, videos and animatronic mannequins are all used to get the message across. On three floors, all facets of Erotica are explored, plus they have a gift shop!

Perhaps the most imposing exhibit was the "Wall of Porn". Where about 50 monitors are arranged side by side showing all forms of adult video. The movies didn't bother me as much as the many couples who had, I think, established residency in front of the monitors.

It was fun and it was an experience....when on vacation live a little!

The perfect museum for the voyeur in us all!

It is a remarkable accomplishment to have a true fantasy land in the most central parts of a bustling city. All that is Tivoli is a joy to behold.

From the 20 plus rides that are available for an additional fee above park admission to the plethora of restaurants and beer gardens, who could not enjoy such a special place.

It truly has something for us all. One can just wander around drinking in all of the magical sites that take you by surprise at each corner or ride all the rides that your heart can take. It is all at your disposal.
