Wildlife on Hilton Head Island

A January 2005 trip to Hilton Head by janfw

Quote: Shipyard Plantation was an excellent place to see a variety of birds and some reptiles. Blue herons, egrets, storks, and pelicans abounded on the grounds and around the golf courses. Turtles and alligators could be seen, too. Also nearby is the Pickney Island Wildlife Refuge.

Stacks is only open for breakfast and lunch. They have a buffet, also. However, I would definitely recommend the crème brulee French toast. It is delicious and filling. The owner was friendly and cheerful as he seated us. The waitress was very pleasant, and the service was efficient.
