This was a girls' trip.

Tropi Rock

The Tropi Rock is a great little find in Ft Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale had many small older hotels, but this one rings in above average. We originally found the property on TripAdvisor and are very happy we chose it. No, it is not a resort, but it is clean, comfortable, cutely decorated, and a GREAT value. We had an efficiency with a kitchenette (fridge, micro, stove, toaster oven) for less than $100/night. It is one block from the beach. It is nothing fancy, but the best small motel in the area for those on a budget.

Sea Escape

The Sea Escape Casino Cruise was a fun night for my mother and I. For $25/per person (and now they are running a two-for-the-price-of-one special), one receives a dinner buffet and a night of fun. There were many activities to choose from. Another plus for those who are underage is that you only have to be 18 to gamble. The food was okay, nothing great, but you can upgrade to better food for a nominal fee. Overall, I would recommend the Sea Escape for something to do, especially if you like to gamble.
