We had a totally enjoyable week in Mazatlan with great people, beautiful scenery, and good food.

Be sure and take the jungle tour. The beach is incredible. The food was good and the scenery was great.

Quick Tips:

Watch for the timeshare people. They are everywhere - restaurants, beaches, the street corners...

Best Way To Get Around:

The pulmonias are exclusive to Mazatlan and a lot of fun to ride in. Prices are posted in the hotels, but be sure to negotiate the rate before getting in.

El Cid Marina Beach Hotel

We had a very comfortable room that faced the marina, and there were televisions in the living room and bedroom. There was a large bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The two balconies faced the marina with colorful buildings, reminding you of Europe.

Pancho's

This restaurant is located at the back of a small shopping center facing the water. The sunsets are incredible and the food was delicious - and there was a lot of it. Be hungry. The staff did a great job in seeing to all our needs.

Señor Peppers

Restaurant

Senor Peppers

I felt this restaurant was very overpriced for the meal; it tries to cater to the rich and famous, but the food taste and quality were not there. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but that was all I considered it had going for it.

Deer Island

Activity

Deer Island Tour

This is an island across the water from many of the major hotels. The tour lasts nearly 6 hours. The snorkeling is fair, but there is ocean kayaking, beach volleyball, banana-boat riding, etc. The meal included in the price was plentiful and very good. All the beverages you could drink were included.
