Two years ago, I went on a study tour to Japan with many of my friends. We visited many places, including Tokyo (and Disneyland!), Osaka, Himeji Castle and Gardens, and Kyoto. We had a great time, and I'm here to tell you all about it!

Trip to Japan!

Overview

Meeting the Japanese people, visiting the many little shops, Disneyland, Miyajima Island...

Quick Tips:

Make sure you check the weather!

When we all arrived, it was stinky, hot, and it just hit us hard!

Best Way To Get Around:

We had a JR Rail Pass, and it was great! It can be used on all of their trains, even their bullet trains, and even some ships, such as the one we went on to Miyajima Island!

Daimachi Bekkan Ryokan

This traditional Japanese ryokan was amazing! They have a spa for all guests to use, but it's communal. There is a awesome garden, which helps create a peaceful atmosphere.

Breakfast is included in the cost, and it's very delicious; it combines Western and Japanese foods.

The beds are futons on the floor (traditional) and are very comfortable. The only downfall for me were the hard pillows (try to bring your own if you don't like this style, or improvise).

The other awesome thing is that you get to wear a yukata and Japanese slip-on shoes here. They are traditional and very comfortable.

(Sorry, Im a bit unsure of the cost right now)

Tokyo Disneyland

Activity

Tokyo Disneyland

Disneyland is great! When you enter, you can see all the Disney characters walking around! Then you see the castle in the background; it's amazing! There are so many rides and attractions here; it's awesome. One day was so not enough time!

The only bad thing is waiting for rides, but there's this cool thing you can use with your ticket called a FAST PASS. It'll explain it all in your brochures.

Later on at night, there's the light parade, and it's really amazing how its done. Be careful so you don't get lost, since it's so big!! (I did!)
