This was my first trip to the Pacific Northwest, and what a great time it was! We spent a week in the area, first in Puyallup and then Snohomish and downtown Seattle. And it only rained 2 days!

We were so lucky to experience some of the best weather in years. So much so that all the local Seattle-ites were on the proverbial cloud nine. Just about every place we went, someone would laugh, nudge us, and say, "How about this weather?" The Space Needle was a great trip on a beautiful, clear low-80s day. Quick jaunts out of the city to many of the outlying beaches are great ways to catch the beautiful sunset, too! (And everything was so clean.)

And don't miss the massive Asian market, Uwajimaya. The food court and shops were a must for anyone with an interest in anything Asian. I had blueberry bubble tea and udon for lunch and came home with lots of unique mementos.

Best Way To Get Around:

The streetcars run along the waterfront for a few miles, and they were a good value and not crowded on the weekdays we rode them.

This is a fun, rowdy, and friendly Irish pub only a few blocks from the Ye Olde Curiousity Shoppe on the waterfront. Interactive songs with the traditional Irish jig band (which included the owner...) made for a great time. This was one of the highlights of my trip!
