A vacation away from the snow and cold. This is a beautiful island with such a diverse geography. The weather was indeed tropical. Everyday, it's in the 70s or 80s F.

Best Things Nearby:
Ocean beaches, snorkelling, sunsets, whale-watching

Best Things About the Resort:
Location on the ocean was relaxing and perfect for whale-watching right from the balcony. The resort has 3 pools, and all were well-kept and relaxing. The unit was very clean, well-equipped, and well-maintained. The resort staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Resort Experience:
The resort is located right on Lawai Road, on the way to Sprouting Horn. It is off the beaten trail, and a car is essential. The resort consists of three large buildings located on a small stretch of sandy beach and large volcanic rock where snorkelling and scuba lessons occur daily. The gardens were immaculate, and the torch lights were lit every night, which added to the ambience. The units were large, with five family members allowed for breathing room. We had a 21-month-old baby with us, and the resort was well-suited to young families. Indeed, there were many young children staying at the resort. The exercise room had a health bar that served a very nice smoothie.

Attraction | "Sunset at the Princeville Hotel"

We sat out on the terrace overlooking Honelei Bay. The sunset actually occurs behind the mountains across the bay. The changes occurred quickly and were not typical of other sunsets we have seen on vacations elsewhere. The dusty pink, blue, and orange colours coming from behind the mountains were intriguing. Drinks on the terrace were "pricey" but worth a special treat.
