Small hotel room, but adequate, in the main street in town, so access to all the facilities was very good. Needless to say, we walked or caught the tram everywhere. It is such a charming city.

Wednesday 5th March caught the Greyhound Bus to San Francisco, which is really such a charming and nice place to visit. Our accommodation was right on one of the main streets in San Francisco, very close to public transport. They do, however, have a bit of a homeless problem too – but they appear to be happy there and say hi as they are pushing their shopping trolleys full of their worldly possessions. We bought a 3-day Transport Pass, so we caught the famous cable cars around the place, as well as the local buses to all the attractions. We walked across the famous Golden Gate Bridge (and back).
