St Pete Beach - Paradise

An April 2004 trip to St. Petersburg Beach by hippiechick

St. Pete Beach is a great place to "get away from it all". Whether you're alone or with friends/family, it's always a great time!

Billy's Stone Crab Seafood & Steak HouseBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Billy's Stone Crab"

Billy's serves the BEST snow crab legs I've ever had. If you like seafood, this place is not to be missed. Another "must" is the house salad with crumbled blue cheese! And, of course, wash it all down with my very favorite margaritas in the whole world!

There's always music at the piano bar inside or upstairs on the deck. After dinner, you can take a free boat ride to watch the sunset--it doesn't get any better than that!

Attraction

Jimmy B's is a great tiki-type bar on the beach. It's hidden behind the Best Western hotel (you have to walk through the lobby). There's always a live band and a dance floor, if that's your style, or just sit on the deck, feeling the ocean breeze while watching the sunset!

Darlene is the best bartender--ask her to make you her signature drink, the Wet Spot! This place is fun and casual. I've been several times by myself, and I never feel lonely or uncomfortable.
