If you run out of money doing the theme parks, you really do not have to leave - just kick back and enjoy the resort. Everything is at the Vistana's numerous pools, restaurants, and bars, and there are things for the kids to do. Sheraton does a great job of managing the resort. Keep in mind that some areas in this resort are over 35 years old. The resort is well maintained by a uniformed, neat, professional, and well-mannered staff. They stay on top of everything, units are constantly being upgraded, and if for some reason you are not happy with the unit assigned to you on a exchange, they will pursue every option to try to relocate you to another unit of the same size if available.
On this exchange, we had a studio unit on the second floor in the Fountains area. It was an end unit with windows on one wall. The unit is large, with a living area that has a sleep sofa, an armoire with a TV and VCP (video player), and three storage drawers. The decor was like new and very tasteful. The bathroom was a good size, with plenty of counter space and drawers for storage. The unit does not have a balcony. The kitchen area has a stove, microwave, and full-size fridge. A small dining area with a glass table for four is between the sleeping and kitchen areas. The bed is a queen-size bed, and there are two glass-topped end tables. The closet is large, with a built-in safe and mirrored doors. Housekeeping does a complete cleaning, including linens, midweek. The studio unit has a stacked washer and dryer, which were handy.
Traffic around the whole area is horrible; make sure that you check out the best way to get around. The concierge can help, as optional routes do help depending on the time of day. We used optional routes with no problem and could see route 4 blocked up in the distance. There is a lot of construction on the roads and highways in this area.
