Costa Club Punta Arena All Inclusive

Hotel | "Costa Club Punta Arena Hotel & Villas"

Quote:
This is all-inclusive hotel. It was recently renovated and turned into an all-inclusive resort. It has clean and tidy rooms. This is definitely a three-star hotel, with a 2-minute walk to the beach. The food there is decent, but they need some improvements in the realm of interior decorating in the dining room.

El Malecón

Attraction | "Puerto Vallarta - El Malecon Blvd."

El Malecón Photo, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Quote:
El Malecon Blvd. is main street in Puerto Vallarta. Every evening, around sunset, the El Malecon Blvd. bustles with activity as residents gather with friends or family for a stroll beside the ocean. El Malecón by night is the place to see and be seen in Puerto Vallarta. Old Viejo Vallarta encompasses the El Malecon, the visitor-friendly promenade, and the steep cobblestone streets that climb their way uphill from there. El Malecon offers spectacular sunsets over Banderas Bay! For some reason, we avoided Puerto Vallarta, thinking it must be a very crowded place. Recently we traveled there, and of course, we realized how wrong we were! While viewing pictures, I strongly recommen...Read More

To discover the Zona Romantica, I invite you to cross the Rio Cuale Bridge with me to view this delightful old city. Here you will find a taste of real Mexico, as well as amazing views from hilltops.

From every corner you can see the mountains that limit Vallarta's growth. These mountains are now home to Vallarta's most expensive residences. Puerto Vallarta is a photographer's dream. Many scenes reminded me of Italy.

Accessible only by sea, LAS CALETAS is surrounded by a steep, jungle-clad mountain backdrop, making it a truly secluded tropical sanctuary! Las Caletas has a complete dive facility. This is a good place to go snorkeling or sea kayaking,

Punta Mita

In a quaint fishing village in Nayarit, Punta De Mita is nestled among rocky and spectacular beaches. This is the region worth exploring, spending your vacation here and eventually purchasing a recreational property if that is your wish! This area offers THE BEST PRISTINE beaches in the entire region. It costs a mere 20 pesos to get there from downtown Puerto Vallarta. Village restaurants serve cold drinks. We prefer to walk along inviting beaches and explore this little-known place. A short walk along the beach brings visitors to isolated stretches of a pristine coastline. This is a SUPERB (day-long) walk!! You may also view a photo album entitled "Puerto Vallarta - Punta De Mita in Nay...Read More

Tuito Sights

Attraction | "El Tuito, Off The Beaten Path"

El Valle del el Tuito is an off-the-beaten-path destination. Approximately a 1-hour bus ride south of Vallarta (45km) along the picturesque route of Mex. 200 (and across Sierra Madre approximately 2,400 feet) lays the small agriculture village of El Tuito. Traveling by bus is the most convenient and hassle-free travel mode around Puerto Vallarta. Take a blue and green Mismaloya/Boca de Tomatlan or El Tuito bus from the corner of Constitution and Basilio Badillo (in Zona Romantica in Puerto Vallarta). It costs 15 pesos one-way to go to El Tuito. To learn more about El Tuito and region, I strongly recommend visiting this website: http://www.virtualvallarta.com/vallarta/articles/vv401-pa...Read More

Gringo Gulch

Rising above the town square is the landmark steeple of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Narrow streets behind the cathedral lead up the hillside to the wealthy Zaragoza neighborhood, better known as Gringo Gulch. Gringo Gulch rests on the hillside has done a magnificent job at retaining much of the original town's picturesque setting and Old Mexico charm. Despite the transformation, every attempt has been made to keep the town's character and image intact. Even the parking lot at the local Gigante supermarket is cobblestone, and by law, any house built in town must be painted white. From every corner you can see the cathedral, which dominates Gringo Gulch’s landscape. On the hill...Read More

Puerto Vallarta Art and Galleries

Attraction | "Puerto Vallarta - Art and Galleries"

Puerto Vallarta Art and Galleries Photo, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Quote:
In Puerto Vallarta, it is fun to explore galleries and meet the artists. Some galleries show traditional Mexican art, and visitors can appreciate large collections of pre-Columbian art and Huichol sculptures and prints.

Famous Puerto Vallarta art galleries feature and offer great works. Here, at Galeria Arte Moderno Mexicano, I found many spectacular works by Margerita Pointelin. Her works can be seen in many international galleries.

Take a walk and explore art galleries located in El Centro or Zona Romantica, or see the spectacular works of Alejandro Colunga, also know as "The Colunga Collection," along El Malecon Boulevard.

Puerto Vallarta Beaches

Attraction | "Puerto Vallarta - Beach Vendors or Shops"

Quote:
While visiting Puerto Vallarta, you cannot escape the tendency to shop and buy things even though sometimes you say, "I don’t need that!" However, shopping is fun and another way to meet people or learn more about this fine community. Puerto Vallarta offers diversified shopping opportunities, from a very sophisticated shop in Old Town, aka Zona Romantica, to well-known shops at Marina Vallarta to very friendly beach vendors. It is up to you what you would really like to purchase or add to your collection. For example, we are collectors of the primitive musical instruments and masks from all over the world. You may buy them in galleries, souvenir shops, or from beach vendors. ...Read More

Puerto Vallarta - Watching Sunsets
This is a very popular activity, to watch and observe sunset. Any place is good, but for many visitors El Malecon Blvd is a favorite spot to sit and watch one of the area’s legendary sunsets. Many restaurants offer breathtaking views of the Banderas Bay at this time, too.

Below are my sunset photos observed from a various points in Puerto Vallarta. You may view more sunstes photos by using this link: Puerto Vallarta -Sunsets Collection http://community.webshots.com/album/276207990iwcfcs
