We had a last blast of summer fun in the mountains of Whistler, B.C., enjoying a long weekend in the great outdoors, mountain biking, golfing, and in-line skating in the fresh mountain air.

What better way to ring out the summer than with a relaxing weekend in the costal mountains of B.C.? Whistler offers a variety of summer activites, from in-line skating on the 25 miles of paved valley trails or a round of golf on one of four courses to more adventurous activies like mountain biking, white-water rafting, etc. Whistler also offers a tremendous array of dining possibilites for the whole family, from fast food to fancy gourmet dinners and romantic cafes.

Quick Tips:

Labour Day weekend brings the annual street festival to Whistler, where street performances can be found to entertain everyone, from young to old.

Best Way To Get Around:

With Whistler's closed-street policy, it's best to leave the car in one of the many parking lots and just walk. Fortunately, everything is within easy walking distance, and with 25 miles of paved valley trails, a delight.

Our accommodations were spectacular. The loft suite we had offered a view of the town center and views of Blackcombe Mountain from our balcony. The service was of high caliber, and the amenites such as the outdoor pool and hot tub were well enjoyed, especially after a day of in-line skating or mountain biking. The Sunday morning brunch served in the dining room was absolutely fantastic, offering a variety of dishes. I highly recommend staying here.

Attraction

Wild Willes offers mountain bike rentals per hour, by the half-day, or by the full-day. They carry a good selection of bikes and sizes for the whole family. With 200km of trails in Whistler's mountain biking park and the use of the Whistler and Blackcombe lift system, the mountain is your backyard. Trails run from beginner to advanced. The views from atop the mountain are awesome.
