Best Things Nearby:There are two Worldmark resorts in Vegas; the older one is on Spencer Street, while the newer one is actually still partially under construction. The Worldmark Las Vegas is about 4 miles south of Mandalay Bay at 8601 Las Vegas Blvd. S. This makes it incredibly easy to find. Additionally, it has close access to the highway and airport, and has plenty of shopping close by, including a major supermarket within walking distance. The same plaza that has the supermarket also has restaurants, a Starbucks, a gas station, and more. Directly across the street from the Worldmark is a small plaza that includes a beauty salon and dry cleaner. Even with the construction (scheduled to...Read More

It was our last morning in Vegas, and we were kind of "buffeted out". Not that many of the Rio Hotel and Casino's restaurants are open for lunch, so we ended up at the All-American Bar & Grille, near the front entrance. The A-AB&G has a kind of upscale sports bar thing going on at the front of the house--large TVs, spacious bar area. If you pass that up, you walk past a refridgerated showcase filled with wines and fine cuts of meat--with glassed-off views into the kitchen grill area--into a beautiful, upscale restaurant decorated in gleaming polished wood. At the back of the restaurant, a wide gas fireplace gives that touch-of-Vegas flair without being flashy, making the restaura...Read More
