It's hard to imagine a prettier place than Telluride. Its remote location makes it a little hard to get to but worth the trip. I've skied here 7 or 8 times, and the scenery never fails to impress. I'm mostly an intermediate, but Telluride offers plenty of terrain for any skier--they have some of the steepest, bumpiest stuff you'll see, as well as a nice variety of intermediate terrain (though they lack any really long cruisers). The town is getting a tad overbuilt as BIG money pours in, but it still retains a lot of its old charm.
