A January 2005 trip to Sao Paulo by siwi

On the 28th of February I arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The weather was excellent and the people was getting ready for the "Carnavale," one of the greatest parties in the world.

You cannot leave Sao Paulo without watching a a game at eather the Pacaembu or the Morumbi soccer stadium. Also, you have got to stop by the Rodizios or Churascarias restaurants for lunch or dinner.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Car, buses, or cabs...
The hotel was very nice. It had one bedroom, along with a living room, a full kitchen, and two balconies. The unit also had two televisions with cable TVs. Breakfast was also included every day. The hotel had a beautiful pool, gym, restaurant, room service, gameroom, and sauna. The service was great, as was the staff.

Restaurant

The food was great. It was a rodizio type of restaurant. They are known in Brazil as churrascarias. Over 20 different cuts of meat are served. There are also all types of salads that you can choose from, in a buffet-type setup. Once you sit, the waiters will start bringing all the different cuts of meat that you can choose from. Picanha is my favorite--very tasty and soft. It is very popular in Brazil. It was well-accompanied by a caipirinha. Caipirinha is the typical alcoholic drink from Brazil. It has sugarcane alcohol, lime, ice, and sugar. I highly recomend this restaurant if you are in Sao Paulo.
