Arches National Park

Moab, Utah was our first stop of the trip. We spent three nights in the area--two at a campground just outside Arches, and the third at the only campground in Arches. We arrived late in the afternoon the second day of our trip, grabbed a quick bite in Moab, then drove into the park to watch the sun set behind distant natural sculptures. The next day was spent in Arches driving from one scenic overlook or trailhead to the next. We hiked the Devils Garden Trail with many colorful and oddly-shaped arches. The middle of July is not the best time to hike this area, as temperatures were around 100 degrees, but plenty of water made for an enjoyable hour-long hike.
