What would a week in Paris (the city of lights) be without the opportunity to while away the afternoon in a Parisian café, go on a romantic cruise on the Siene, or spend a day at one of its many museums. Paris is rich in history and might not have as big a nightlife as London, but it is the queen of the continent.Quick Tips: Upon arriving in Paris, purchase a Paris Visite Pass, which is valid for 1 to 5 days on the Métro, city buses, and the RER trains from both airports to the suburbs, including to Versailles. Also, if you plan on staying more than 2 days, a city map is a good idea.Best Way To Get Around: Paris is a city for strollers; its treasures lie in its alleyways and small sq...Read More

This is a small, but quite budget hotel with very clean rooms and exceptional service from the staff. It's within walking distance of the touristy Montmartre area and the Paris Metro (Lamarck Caulaincourt). The complimentary Parisian breakfast served every morning, with fresh croissants and fruit, topped off the day. Highly recommended. The best rooms are those facing the west (#6), offering terrific views of the Paris skyline.

Quite frankly, this is the best Italian food in Paris. The food is very fresh, inventive, and seasonal. The Italian staff is delightful and good-humored. Durning warm weather, tables are set up in an enclosed patio, making it a very romantic atmosphere. The cuisine has a true Tuscan flavour--a treat, considering it's tucked away in a congested Paris neighborhood.

Give yourself a full day to view the world's largest museum. A few tips to make your day more enjoyable: Try to arrive early in the morning (before 8:30am), use the metro, and get off at the Palais Royal metro stop. Use the underground entrance through the shopping mall--the lines tend to be shorter. It's definitely worth the wait in line to view almost 30,000 works of art from all through the ages.
