Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa Best of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Westin Casuarina"

Quote:
We really liked the Westin Casuarina. It has the best location on Seven Mile Beach, right on the water. The Hyatt down the road was actually across the street. They are building a new Ritz, which will also be right on the water but very expensive. The Westin was perfect for us--not too lavish, but nice. The original room we received had a view of some gardens, so we asked if we could get a partial ocean view for the same price, and they did it. We had a small balcony, and you could see the ocean for the same price as we would have paid for the garden view. The pool area was nice. The beach was outstanding. The Causuarina trees provided a lot of shade. There is good snorkeling right off shore. As with ...Read More

Eats Cafe Best of IgoUgo

Restaurant

Quote:
Eats Cafe is right across the street from the Westin Causuarina Hotel and is a great place to have a reasonably priced lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is fun, with festive music and TVs situated throughout the restaurant. The food is good, not great. However, after paying ridiculous prices for hamburgers, sandwiches, and salads at the Westin, Eats was a great alternative.

Casa Havana Best of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Cafe Havana"

Quote:
The Havana is the Westin Causuarina's main restaurant. As you would expect, it is very pricey. However, the food was quite good and the restaurant has ocean views, which was very nice. I had a grilled shrimp dish that was very good. My wife had a pasta dish that she enjoyed as well. Because it was so expensive, we only ate there one night, but it was worth it.

Ferdinand's Best of IgoUgo

Restaurant

Quote:
Ferdinand's is one of the restaurants at the Westin Causuarina Hotel. We were told by friends that we had to have the daily breakfast buffet there because it was so good. We were very disappointed. It was very expensive, the food selection was average, and the food itself was just all right. We only went once.

Cracked Conch Restaurant Best of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Cracked Conch"

Quote:
This is a fun place to go for lunch. It's right on the ocean, with a very Caribbean feel. Prices for lunch are okay, but they're a little steeper ($20-30) for dinner. The drinks are great, and the food is good. We had a bunch of appetizers and dessert (all homemade), and it was all good.
