There was skiing, dining, a hot tub, and Long Trail beer. This was a New England vacation at its best.

Skiing is the best thing in Killington. After skiing in most of New England resorts, this is the best skiing in New England. There is also great dining (check out Garlic and the Outback's pizza). The local Long Trail beer is also very good. Sitting in the hot tub at night with friends while it is snowing is incredible.

Quick Tips:

Try buying lift tickets online for a discount or through corporate advantage discounts, otherwise the lift tickets are very expensive. During weekends, the mountain gets very crowded, especially on the main mountain and intermediate slopes.

Best Way To Get Around:

A car or local shuttles from hotels are options. The hotel is not close enough to the mountain to walk.

Best Things Nearby:
Skiing, eating, drinking, swimming in a hot tub, nightlife (live bands) were all the best things.

Best Things About the Resort:
There was a very large hot tub, with a high temperature. There is also a small lounge and a TV in the room. There is a convenience store across the street and a beautiful creek behind the hotel.

Resort Experience:
We all loved this resort even though we have stayed in more upscale places before in Killington. Even though it is not a ski-in/ski-out resort, it is 1 mile away from one of the lifts, which makes it easy to get to the mountain even in heavy snow, and about 3 miles to the main Killington lift. The service is great (I lost my keys there, and the staff called me to return the keys to me when they found them when the snow melted).

The unit was made up of two separate hotel rooms with one adjoining door. Each one of the rooms had a full bathroom with a tub. One of the rooms had a kitchenette with a microwave oven, fridge, and a sink. The kitchen was stocked with supplies. There was an outdoor hot tub, which was great at night after skiing. The hot tub, rooms, and the whole resort are all very clean.
