Quote: We were originally scheduled to go to Freeport, Bahamas, but Hurricane Frances changed our plans. Thanks to RCI agents, we were quickly booked to Playa del Carmen.

Our suite overlooked the beach. Had we chosen to jump off the second floor balcony, we would have been on the beach, in the waves. The balcony held the Jacuzzi, which made for a unique, relaxing experience. Housekeeping was exceptional, keeping the suite immaculate, even being so close to the beach. They showed off their 'oragami' talent with decorative folding of the towels, ranging from a family of turtles and rabbits to elephants and roses.

The maitre d' was the best. He was sharp and attentive. We had a modified meal plan, but the menu selection was a variety of chicken, fish, pork, and steak. All were presented beautifully. The steak was superbly tender and flavorful.
