Restaurant | "La Posta de Mesilla"

Bird and Fish
This restaurant is a pleasant dining experience with a lot of charm. The walls are covered with lots of little trinkets of New Mexican culture. The dining area is big but is seperated into multiple rooms and areas, and it can get loud in the dining area, especially since the walls seem to amplify sound. This restaurant advertises: "World Renowned. Famed for Mexican Food and Steaks since 1939". I didn't find the food to be anything special, nor was it bad. The waitstaff was quick and friendly; however, the food did take a little long to get to us. In the lobby, there is a really annoying birdcage with the loudest bird you have ever heard. Overall, this place was okay.

Attraction | "Blue Teal Wineries"

This was a fun little stop. Like any winery, you can pop in and taste many of the local wines. We got tipsy by the third glass and then bought a few of the wines. They were very inexpensive.

Shopping in MesillaBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Shopping in the Square"

Gazebo in Square
There are about 20 little shops in the square that sell all sorts of things, such as jewelry, antiques, and local crafts. All the shops close early during the week because there are not too many people shopping during the week. My favorite was this little salsa place where I bought some great-tasting local salsa. Many of the places also have stuff on sale. It is very peaceful and relaxing, but it is kinda small. You can get done with shopping in less than three hours.
