Of all the hotels at Sun City, the Palace of the Lost City is the most luxurious. We had planned to stay for two nights, but shortly after we got into our room and looked around the resort a little, we decided to hang the cost and extend our stay for one night. There is so much to do in Sun City that two nights just isn't enough. We had a lovely room, and in every way, it was luxurious, except for two things which mean a lot to me. I love to have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning, and there were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room. The room-service coffee was so terrible that I didn't order it a second time. We tried to eat here for dinner one evening, but during the week, this restaurant only offers buffet-style meals. We learned this after we were seated, so we asked the maitre d' if there was another restaurant in the hotel where we could eat. He personally walked us over to Villa del Palazzo, which was nice of him (see separate listing on the Villa del Palazzo). As the next night was a weekend, we made reservations and ate here, since we could order off the menu. The food was excellent, and so was the service.
