There are so many wonderful things to explore and do while in Tahoe. Perhaps the most important is to appreciate the silence. I love walking on the lake shore with my dog early in the morning. Some mornings the air is still and the lake looks like glass. The refreshing air calms and soothes you, the ultimate way to start your day. Tahoe is an enchanting place, be sure to relax your body and mind to completely feel the experience.Quick Tips: Stay away from the casinos. The best and most relaxing spots on the lake on the smaller West and North Shore communities. You'll also get to experience the quaint, small town feel of Tahoe. Ok...so I used to work here. But I still drive 3 hours because I am addicted to their coffee. They have the best coffee I've ever tasted. Emerald bay is one of many beautiful jewels at Tahoe. This is a great place to take photos, of both the bay and Eagle Falls. You can hike up Eagle falls and explore many trails in the Desolation Wilderness area. If you plan to hike past the bridge, be sure to fill out the Wilderness Entry form. This is a somewhat tough hike if your climb all the way up the falls. There are lots of boulders to climb up. Once on the ridge, you'll see several alpine lakes and witness a different view of Lake Tahoe. There is a great loop trail that will drop you off about 1/2 mile from Eagle Falls. Look for the maps at the trail head and just have fun!! Be sure to wear proper shoes as this is a somewhat technical...Read More
