A Trip to Cape Cod

A July 2004 trip to Cape Cod by ashcreel

A beautiful and relaxing getaway for couples. Enjoy the atmosphere at Sandwich's historic inn, which is only a walk away from the town's beautiful boardwalk.

Dan'l Webster Inn RestaurantBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Daniel Webster "

Daniel Webster has a great atmosphere and is located in downtown historic Sandwich. It was built in the 1800s but burned down and was rebuilt. They have a casual tavern/bar, or you can enjoy a more formal dinner. The food is fabulous if you are a fan of garden burgers--I have never tasted better! A lot of the food is locally grown and very fresh. You will never get a bad meal here or bad service.

Dunbar House & Tea RoomBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant | "Dunbar Tea Room"

A great experience. Once again, this place was found in downtown historic Sandwich, across the street from the old Gris Mill. Described as a hidden gem, the Dunbar Tea room is a tiny little cottage set off the road next to the old church. It is fantastic dining with a wide variety of teas that makes you feel like you are having afternoon tea right in England. The food is fresh, and the menu is what you would find if you were having time in England. They always have something new on the menu, and the desserts are to die for. They are always displayed, and you will have a tough time saying "no" to the dessert table. My mom and I love going here; it is a great place to go for lunch. I would suggest a great meal, but I feel I have never had a meal be anything but fantastic! A must-go if you are on the Cape!
