Our free vacation to the Berkshires

A November 2004 trip to Berkshire by Ready2SeeTheWorld

We were just going to go on a "free vacation" (timeshare presentation). Little did we know we'd fall in love with the Berkshires. The resort was very clean, the staff was pleasant, and basically, overall, we were impressed with RCI. So what should we do? Buy, of course!

The area is very pretty. The ski slopes which are located "across the street" are absolutely beautiful! If you are a ski person, this is the place for you. If not (we aren't), the area still has lots to do. There's dining, assorted museums, and just enjoying the beautiful amenities of this resort. The pool is gorgeous, with a breathtaking view! They've recently added an outdoor pool, tons of gas grills (with a direct line for the gas,) play grounds, large sized building located at the outdoor pool, which had men and women bathrooms which you could obviously use to change in as well. These too were kept exceptionally clean! So impressed with the cleaning staff, they realize the importance of good hygiene! You could actually walk on the floor barefoot and not worry about catching something! Kudos to the cleaning staff! The entire resort itself is again absolutely beautiful!

Quick Tips:

A few quick tips: the units are located in several buildings, separated from the "main/registration building." This area does require a car, so rent one if you didn't drive in on your own.

Best Way To Get Around:

Walking about is not an option. You definitely need a car, but the drive is very scenic. All though if you wanted to take a nice walk after lunch/dinner, the resort is set up in a way that you could get some nice exercise and at the same time take in some awesome scenery!! This resort has it all!!

We had a one-bedroom suite with a full kitchen with a brand-new kitchen (at least it looked like it.) Everything was full-size, even the dishwasher! There was a living room, patio, dining room, and HUGE bathroom! The place was immaculate upon check-in! I was impressed!

Best Things Nearby:
Nice local restaurants. We didn't get to venture out much, but we had heard of many interesting things to do locally.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very clean (this impressed us very much so)! The amenities were what they described them to be. Some resorts "play up" their amenities, but this one was everything it said it was! Pool with a goregous view of the mountains/skiing. At the clubhouse, you had a constant view of the beautiful mountains!

Resort Experience:
We only stayed for a few days, but we were very much impressed with its cleanliness and the pleasantries from the staff; it lived up to what it said it offered as a resort, and the view was absolutely beautiful! The nearby area doesn't look like much, but we were pleasantly surprised by the restaurants. We didn't make it to any of the shops, but they looked appealing.

Story/Tip

I could go on endlessly at how nice and beautiful the entire resort is! It's the type of resort where you can make the trip into anything YOU want it to be. Quiet, relaxing, and romantic, you've got it! Fun-filled and exciting, you've got it! A combo of both, no problem! Everyone should make it a point to visit at least once, if not again and again!
