First Packers Game

A December 2004 trip to Green Bay by sheepnure

As an early Christmas present, we got four tickets to the Dec. 12 Packers vs. the Detroit Lions game.

Seeing the game at Lambeau Field was very impressive. There is such a feeling of history and nostalgia associated with the place, and you need to be there to fully experience it.

Quick Tips:

Local stores and restaurants offer parking for to instead of over for parking at the field, but you have to walk a little more (can't we all use the extra exercise?). Be warned that some places don't allow tailgating or alcohol, so ask before paying for parking.

Best Way To Get Around:

We just drove our own vehicle, which is probably the best way to get around for an out-of-towner. Not too many towns and cities here have good public transportation, but just about anyone going to a game that would be reading this would be from out of town.
