Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

We rented a car from Avis for the convenience of it. There are cheaper rentals at Rome's airport, but with longer lines. Be careful that you tally in the cost of fuel, which is pricey.

If you don't need to go off the beaten path, we strongly recommend travelling by train. If you haven't been to Italy before, there is SO much to see on the train stops, and trains are much less stressful.

This was the best timeshare we have stayed in, by far. The accommodations were very nice. The bed was relatively hard, but that is common for Italy. The location is great for day trips in the Tuscany and Umbria regions. The 6km white road through the valley to get there made it even more enchanting. Our patio had a view of an untouched hillside. The breakfasts and dinners were optional/pricey and well worth it. Dinners were at long tables with open bottles of wine and four or five courses served. A vegetarian next to us was accommodated nicely. Great conversations over the 2- to 3-hour dinner followed the day trips everyone had taken.
