Quote: I live 75 miles south of SF and try to visit once a month or so. I'm a photographer, web designer, and writer with a food and travel focus. I'm a candid and enthusiastic lover of SF, and I think it one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Hotel Majestic San Francisco Photo, San Francisco, California
The oldest operating hotel in San Francisco, the Hotel Majestic is a beautiful, elegant, Edwardian-style building situated near midtown and Pacific Heights. Rooms and suites are furnished beautifully; junior and one-bedroom suites have fireplaces. The amenities are wonderful (bathrobes, umbrellas, Gilchrist-Soames products), and the beds are heaven. It has a distinctly European feel; service is personable and informed, without a tinge of snootiness. There is a wine/hors d'oeuvres hour in the evening, and breakfast is served in the morning. Asian Art Museum

A not-to-be-missed destination for art lovers or lovers of Asian art, this lovely museum houses over 15,000 individual works from all around Aria. From the antiquities thousands of years old to modern-day fabric arts, the collection is vast and comprehensive. The galleries are divided by region, country, and era. Along with the permanent collection, exhibitions change every few weeks. Recently, a collection of exquisite kimonos and artifacts of the Floating World of the geisha were presented. Personal favorites of mine include the ornate gold figurines of Indian gods and goddesses (set in a brilliant orange display, they are stunning), the porcelain and ceramic collections, the ...Read More
