Resort Experience:The Wind in the Pines is not a typical commercial resort. It has a family feel to it. It's almost like staying at your great aunt's place in the mountains. The Berkshires, and especially Great Barrington, offers many luxurious day spas. I visited Michelle's Day Spa and got a makeover with master stylist Hans. I was sorely overdo for a new look. I entered with a tired, frazzled '70s do. And I exited with a trendy, smart, and sassy new look. I got a chair massage, hair cut/blow dry, and make-up application for $65, not including tip. I was very impressed with Hans’ knowledge and skill. He was able to assess my face, hair, and lifestyle and create an attractive, easy-to-care for style that accented my features and minimized my weaknesses. My new hairstyle took 10 pounds off my face.
