Golden Roof
Innsbruck is a winter wonderland. We lodged in the heart of Innsbruck. We walked the streets of the city, viewing sights like the famous Golden Roof. We skied Axamer Lizum, Stubai Glacier, and St. Anton, and cross-country skied the countryside. We toured King Ludwig II's Neuschwanstein Castle and Venice, Italy. On our last day in Munich, we visited the Glockenspeil and Marienplatz and dined at the world-famous Hofbräuhaus.

Quick Tips:

The Innsbruck card, which you can pick up at your hotel or at the tourism office, offers discounts on ski passes, as well as at local shops and restaurants.

Best Way To Get Around:

The best way to travel in Innsbruck is by the public transportation. Cable cars run throughout the city. To get to the ski resorts, all you need to do is get on a bus at the local ski bus transportation center.
Grauer Bar
The Hotel Grauer Bär is located in the immediate city center, just a 2-minute walk away from the historic Old Town. The Universitätsstraße is part of a very quiet area and is well-known for its numerous cafés and bars. From here you can reach important places of interest, shopping malls, parks, and the convention center in just a few minutes.

Axamer Lizum
Axamer Lizum is part of the Innsbruck Gletscher Ski Pass, which covers the lifts of Tulfes, Mutterer Alm, Igls, and the Stubai Glacier, which is open all year. The resorts are linked via a free bus service. An alternative option is to purchase the Innsbruck Super Ski Pass for 4 or 5 out of 6 days, which includes a day in the Kitzbuhel or Arlberg areas
