The main purpose of our trip was to ski and relax. There are certainly plenty of ski resorts around. They can be a little intimidating for relatively inexperienced skiers like us, but Copper Mountain treated us very well. They have a good selection of easy runs. Later we had a great time on the intermediate runs.
The drive along the I70 to Glenwood Springs was very scenic. The caves and the view from the top of the mountain are fantastic.
We discovered Main Street Breckenridge on our last evening - a little too late to really take it all in. There are many nice shops and restaurants there.
It also looks like there are many wonderful summer activities. Maybe one day we'll go back, but for now, there are many other places to see first.
Quick Tips:
Copper Mountain has a great deal on lift tickets - go to customer service and buy the Copper Card for . We got lift tickets for half price!
Best Way To Get Around:
Summit County has a free bus service, but we preferred our rental car.
