Weekend Birthday in Vegas

Overview

Quote:
One of the neatest things in Vegas are the Bellagios Fountains. They are breathtaking and free all in one. Best free view is directly in front of them at night, or for a different perspective, enter the front of the Bellagio, and there are a set of windows right inside the door for very limited access. This area gets packed as the show goes off. Quick Tips: A great way to get a cab quick is to head out of the hotel/casino in the direction of traffic from the valet stand. When cabs are leaving from the drop-off slot, they cannot stop under the hotel's canopy due to regulations, but if you catch them just before the street, you will have a ride, no wait, and a happy cab driver!Best Way To ...Read More

To experience this place, with their expansive wine list and flying wine gatherings (Angles), I would highly recommend a seat at the bar if you are adventurous at all. This eliminates the need for reservations; you can just walk in and grab an open seat (I recommend doing this soon after they open, as it does get a little crowded). This also gives you the best view of the wine tower and the servers. The food here is overrated, but for any wino, it is a must-see, and if you get your hands on their wireless wine menu, be sure not to set it down until you are totally done, as they will grab it right away for use of others (they only have a few).

As we ate at this restuarant for an early lunch, and having stumbled onto their fine-looking menu and open seating, we gave it a try. We were very happily suprised, as we had a great lunch with some tangy flair based on South American flavors and spices added to traditional American dishes. I am not sure about dinner here, but with long lines for the buffets only a few steps down from this restaurant, it was a great choice for us, with no wait, great food, and great service.

It’s VIP service here all the way, even though we are not nearly VIP. It was a birthday dinner to remember, as the food was awesome, not to mention that the staff was excellent! If there was a thing we needed, we did not even have to ask - it was like they knew our desires. A la carte side dishes here are out of this world and large enough to split, but do intend to take up the bill if you are on a budget at all. There is a great wine list. It’s on the pricy side, but come on now - it is for Emeril!
