Overview

The best things to do besides all the Magic Kingdom attractions would be walking on International Drive to visit Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, Rock Cafe, Wonderworks, FAO Schwartz, Beltz, Orange County Conventional Center, Wet’n’Wild, Arabian nights, and so on. There is definitely a lot more to do than see Mickey!!!Quick Tips: Having a map is the best help you could ever get. Otherwise, you may get lost and keep going in circles. And don't forget all of your cool-weather clothes because it's pretty hot.Best Way To Get Around: I hardly recommend that you to rent a car, as all of the attractions are within a very short drive, but there are very long parking lots, so a car definit...Read More

Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive

This was simply perfect. It was a big resort but private and luxurious, with great areas for entertainment and relaxation. It is very well centrally located on International Drive, just 5 minutes from Magic Kingdom, 2 minutes from Sea World, and just 5 minutes from the Orange County Convention Center. It's right in the middle of the strip, near a lot of restaurants and gift shops. Compared to other resorts, this one is brand new, with all new furniture and amenities.

The pool is just perfect for the kids: it's huge, heated, and not deep at all. It is at a reasonable depth for them to step in on their own and play safely.

Best Things Nearby:Disney World is just within a 5-minute drive, which will let you get there really quickly without needing to wake up that early, and The Orlando Premium Outlets Mall has the best offers ever on brand-name retailers!!!Best Things About the Resort:The pool is just fabulous!! It is outdoors but heated, so it's perfect for the kids. They also have some whirlpool hot tubs that are just as great! This resort has everything: an on-site games room, library, tea room, gym, volleyball courts, and basketball courts, and all of the units are facing the pool and have a balcony.Resort Experience:It's just perfect. NASCAR Universal Citywalk

Restaurant | "Nascar Cafe"

This place is just for race lovers, as it is all themed with race cars and runners, has cars all over the place, and has the best strawberry shake ever. You can make reservations for lunch after getting into the park. Otherwise, it will be almost impossible to get in.

They have an excellent taste for cheeseburgers and chili fries. It is pretty clean and well-kept. Talking about money, that’s the best choice, as it is not as expensive as the rest of the places.

The best place for car lovers has all kind of cars all over the place, even a monster truck at the entrance and some old models on the roof. They have a very polite and friendly staff!

The food is clean and has a great taste - just perfect.

Bring your camera, because there are a couple of great photo spots.

This has everything you can imagine. They have any brand: Nike, Adidas, Coach, Banana Republic, OshKosh, Versace, Boss, Nautica, Levis, Kenneth Cole, Burberry, Samsonite, Tommy Hilfiger, you name it - and at really great deals. This is very close to all the resorts.

Mickey's Place

Story/Tip

Well, I guess that my day at Magic Kingdom was very brief, so there's not much I can tell you since I couldn't do much (we have a toddler). Sometimes it is hard to do a baby swap during a 20-minute wait for each ride, but it's a pretty nice place for kids. I would expect Disney to be a lot better. Well, one thing we must consider was that they were affected by Ivan. It was not a major thing, but a couple of rides were closed because of that - not even as many as I expected, though; I expected a lot more to be closed. Just realize that the entire park is just for shopping - there are at least three stores for each ride??!! It makes no sense in a place for kids. The ride we liked the most...Read More

Epcot

Story/Tip

This is a good place for grown-ups and a nice place for walking and relaxing. It has a nice view and great photo spots, and once again, there are lots of shops. The only thing that makes it different is that there are different things from all over the world, from places such as Canada, Italy, Mexico, China, Japan… You may meet all the Disney characters in great scenarios, but there is not much to do, just walking.

This was worth much more than Magic Kingdom. City Walk has some fancy shops, some restaurants, and a theatre; after that, the fun starts. The park divides in two sections: Adventure Island (great) and Universal Studios (gorgeous). Let's go first to Universal, which has attractions for everybody: Terminator 2, Earthquake, Shrek 4-D, Dr. Seuss, Grinch, Nickelodeon, Back to the Future, Jaws... all of my favorite movies! This one is more flexible because your child can sit own his own, and he can ride with you, which makes it a lot easier! It has some stores, but not as many as Magic Kingdom. The staff is completely different, as they were very polite and family friendly. The other ones have a real p...Read More
