Orlando is a wonderful place to holiday in, with many restaurants and malls to keep you very happy. We liked Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Cracker Barrel, Bennigan’s, and Roadhouse Grill for our evening meals and Golden Corral for our buffet breakfasts.

Best Things Nearby:
There are many restaurants, along with the Premium Outlets shopping complex, close by.

Best Things About the Resort:
This is a very big resort with everything on site that you could wish for. It even has a good Internet room, which is excellent.

Resort Experience:
The resort is huge and of a quality you would expect. Our only problem with the resort was that it was not as clean as it should have been. Our apartment needed vacuuming when we got into it, and the stairs and balconies were very untidy and not clean. The stairs were not swept at all over our 2-week stay. This spoiled our very high opinion of this resort, and we think the management should be sorting this out.

The Olive Garden

Restaurant

This is an excellent chain of Italian restaurants, with many types of dishes done in an old Italian style. I liked the Tour of Italy ($15.99), a mixture of three dishes. With all main courses, you get a choice of soup or salad as a starter, included in the price, and the endless garlic rolls are very nice as well. I usually cannot eat a sweet dessert, but I had the Tiramisu, which was very nice.

Bahama Breeze

Restaurant

This restaurant is within walking distance of the Vistana Resort, and the food is excellent. It is usually very busy, so you could wait 45 minutes to get a table if you have not made a reservation. The food is wonderful and worth waiting for. Try the Onion Stack as a starter, but be warned that this is enough for two or three people. I usually have the Chicken Kebabs, which are very nice, and my wife often has the Salmon Pasta, which she loves.

Bennighans

Restaurant

This is again within easy walking distance of the Vistana Resort. It has very nice typical American food and big portions. I usually have some type of burger and can never eat it all. If you want a very reasonable meal in a nice pub atmosphere, then Bennighans is the best.

Golden Corrall

Restaurant

This is a buffet-style restaurant, one of the best of its type that we have been to.

The breakfast buffet is to be recommended, as you could eat yourself sick if you’d like. If we go for breakfast, we do not eat again until the evening.

It has very simple buffet-style food, but it is of a very good quality for this type of food.
