I went to Komamoto because I was a JICA student, one of the eight participants in my course. My travel started when I departed from Mexico City for Tokyo and Kytakyushu. After 20 hours, I arrived to Kytakyushu International Centre for 4 weeks to learn about Japan-its history, customs, economy, and politics-and learn basic Japanese. We had to visit some commercial centers to learn how to ask and request any product. We didn't know how to pick a train because all the signals were in Japanese, so with the few words that we knew, we asked the ticket man for eight tickets from Yahata to Kurosaki. After all that, we asked for the number of the platform, but we missed the train because we didn't ask for the number of the train and took the wrong one. That train didn't stop at Kurosaki, so we had to take another one from the station to Korosaki.
