Hands down, Santa Barbara's winner for the best place to go for a romantic tête-a-tête, or a large group meal. Always crowded but full of atmosphere, Palazzio boasts that "People don't generally leave here hungry". And they're absolutely correct. There is a wine bar "on the honour system" and teamwork service staff.
