The location of this small guesthouse/mini-hotel is excellent -- just a block from the Skytrain (National Stadium stop), one street over from Jim Thompson House museum, Siam Square, MBK, and Siam Discovery. If you're in the mood for some everyday relaxation, there are movie theaters in Siam Discovery and MBK, as well as a bowling alley in MBK. And if you're headed elsewhere, the Skytrain is a fast way to get to a number of places without the usual Bangkok traffic issues. The rooms at Wendy House are a...Read More

A Brief Taste of Bangkok Beds All told, we spent about eight weeks throughout our year abroad in Bangkok hotels. We know that’s a long time in one city, but among other things, the time allowed us the opportunity to stay in a number of different guesthouses of varying quality. Here are some of our favorites (please note that the prices may have changed since we were there in 2003-2004). More expanded descriptions of select venues are provided in the individual accommodation entries: Wendy House, Soi Kasemsan 1. 500-800B. The location is excellent, just a block from the Skytrain (National Stadium stop), one street over from Jim Thompson House museum, Siam Squ...Read More
