You must go and see the Parliament buildings at night, when they are lit up spectacularly! We were on the waterfront in November, and there were lots of street performers, even though it wasn't summertime! We watched a fire-eater and a juggler and then headed into the Milestones restaurant just off the waterfront. Fabulous food. Then everywhere you look, there are pedi-cabs and horse-drawn carriages, a must-do. Very quaint and endearing. We hear the Royal museum is out of this world, but we were not able to stop in.Quick Tips: There are a lot of scooter and bicycle rentals along the waterfront. Definitely a great way to see this beautiful city.Best Way To Get Around: You really can c...Read More

When I first opened the doors to my studio suite, I could not help but exclaim, "Oh my god!" The first thing I saw was the Japanese-style bathroom that was larger than my living room at home. The deep soaker tub made me not want to leave my room. It had a massive glass shower, TV, and phone, all in the bathroom! The bed had a wonderful down comforter, and there were lots of overstuffed pillows. The room had a nice living room area, and I loved the fact that there was a Japanese kimono waiting for me on the bed. What a lovely place. I also stayed in the older section a few weeks later and was quite disappointed. Still nice for a hotel room, but no beautiful bathroom or little extras.

Best Things Nearby:Can you say "everything"?This is within walking distance to the Parliament buildings, and it is a must to see the buildings at night. They have it completely lit up on the entire outline of the buildings, very breathtaking and impressive. The Empress hotel is close as well, so that is a must. Everything seems to be within walking distance, including the waterfront.Best Things About the Resort:The Rosewood Inn is a small, quaint, B&B-type resort. The rooms are smaller, and you will more than likely have to take two rooms if you are travelling with family, but they are worth it.Resort Experience:Where do I begin? Okay, so if you have read my other journals, I have eaten at the Spaghetti Factory all over the country. I was impressed with the staff, as they joked around with us a lot and made us comfortable. We sat on the outside patio, and the only bad thing was that a bird flew into my head! I had penne with a creamy tomato sauce. It was really great, because it wasn't too rich or creamy.
