A trip back in time

Overview

Quote:
The local theme parks and shopping outlets afford a variety of opportunities for everyone to find something to their liking. Numerous restaurants of every type and price range are in the area. There is lots to see and lots to do, so bring lots of with you!Quick Tips: Discounts are available at the resort for many of the attractions. A shuttle is also provided. Discount coupons are available throughout the area, but most have the dreaded timeshare presentation as the price to pay for the discount. Best Way To Get Around: You definitely need a rental car if you fly here. However, both a local bus service and trolley service are available. Trolley passes run a day, and the trolley...Read More

Best Things Nearby:SeaWorld, Universal Studios, City Walk, and Disney World.Best Things About the Resort:Its proximity to everything.Resort Experience:This was our third visit to this resort. We had previously owned here. The unit itself is tired. It is due for an upgrade this coming year. However, the stereo that used to be in the unit was missing, and we enjoy having music during our meals. There were also no storage containers for leftovers. These, we were told, are no longer provided when we called the front desk. There are a limited number of pots and pans in the unit. Ours was a two-bedroom unit. In addition, the wall paper is peeling in sev...Read More

This is a very good two-hour dinner show. It is chock-full of Hawaiian and other island cultures, with dance and stories. Dinner is family-style island specialties. There is a great deal of audience participation, especially for the children. The theater where the dinner is held is very cozy, and you are very close to all the action. Our total for the evening, including tip, was $150 for four of us. Your price may vary, depending upon the season and where you get your tickets. The holiday show (Christmas) is very popular, and I would recommend making reservations well in advance for this one. Other nights, a day or two in advance is sufficient. Having lived in Hawaii, the show is very au...Read More

Arabian Nights

Attraction

Quote:
This is a great two-hour show and dinner. The only drawback is that the seats are bleacher-style. However, the food and show more than make up for that. The story is sort of a modern-day medieval romance, with a great patriotic revue at the end. Drinks are a bit pricey. We spent a little over $200 for the four of us, including dinner, drinks, and gratuity. Soda, beer, and wine are included, but specialty drinks are not. Also, a tip of $5 per person is suggested at the end, on a card supplied by your server.

Golden Corral

Restaurant

Quote:
We ate at the Golden Corral on Sand Island Road and I-4. It has a great variety of food and is a large restaurant with ample seating. We were there on Veteran Appreciation Night. The place was full, but the food was always available, and we were seated immediately and not rushed. Our server was very friendly and even took time to sit and talk with us when she had the time. This is a great place, and the value is excellent. I will definitely go there again. Everything from soup to steaks to turkey breast and specialty dishes are available. It's one price (about $11) for the all-you-care-to-eat menu, and drinks are additional, but there are many discount coupons available in booklets and the Sunday pape...Read More

The best breakfast buffet for the price in town: $3.99 per person. We got there around 10:30am and were able to stay through lunch at no additonal charge. This really is a good bargain, and there are several locations throught other areas. Great and clean place, good service. Seating is readily available. Food quality and variety is very good.

SeaWorld Orlando

Attraction | "Sea World, Orlando"

Quote:
This is a great park for the family. It can also be a great place for the adults. There is something for everyone, especially those who are into sea life.

The place offers many gift shops, restaurants, and sites for everyone to see. While the price of admission is a bit high for what the park offers (but what isn't in Orlando?), the value is still pretty hard to beat. We visit the park each time we come and enjoy our time there.
